Dennis & Jennylyn in My Faithful Husband

Dennis & Jennylyn in My Faithful Husband

This August, Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo return to primetime TV and reunite in GMA Network’s upcoming series My Faithful Husband.

Both Jennylyn and Dennis are excited to work together again and assure their fans and viewers that they will love the intriguing and interesting story of My Faithful Husband.

Sana magustuhan niyo kasi maganda yung istorya nito.

Dennis, on the other hand, shares, “Maganda tong show na gagawin namin. Maganda yung kwento niya, magaling yung mga kasama naming artista, at magaling yung director. Atsaka pinaghandaan talaga namin ng husto para buuin tong show naming.”

Emman (Dennis) is a devoted and doting husband to Mel and father to their children. He is willing to do anything for his family. Meanwhile, Mel (Jennylyn) is a kind, loving, hardworking and ambitious woman. She is married to Emman but after seeing her former boyfriend again, she suddenly gets confused about her feelings.

My Faithful Husband also stars Mikael Daez, Louise delos Reyes, Kevin Santos, Jade Lopez, Gerald Napoles, Aaron Yanga, Rexy Evert, Timmy Cruz, Snooky Serna, Noni Buencamino and Rio Locsin.

My Faithful Husband, created by the GMA Drama group, is supervised by the Executive-in-Charge of Production Lilybeth G. Rasonable; VP for Drama Redgie A. Magno; AVP for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy; Program Manager Helen Rose S. Sese; and Executive Producer Rebya Upalda.

Under the helm of Bb. Joyce Bernal, with the help of creative director Roy Iglesias, creative consultant RJ Nuevas, and head writer Suzette Doctolero, My Faithful Husband is set to premiere this August on GMA’s flagship international channel, GMA Pinoy TV.

GMA Network (GMA) widened its lead in TV ratings in the viewer-rich areas of Urban Luzon and Mega Manila in March, according to data from the industry’s leading ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

Urban Luzon and Mega Manila account for 77 and 60 percent, respectively, of the total urban TV household population in the entire country.

For the period March 1 to 31 (March 23 to 31 based on overnight data), GMA’s total day audience share in Urban Luzon reached 35.7 percent, up 4.1 points from ABS-CBN’s 31.6 percent, and up 24.7 points from TV5’s 11 percent.

In comparison with the previous month, GMA increased its total day margin over ABS-CBN and TV5 in Urban Luzon, from 2.4 to 4.1 points, and from 22.1 to 24.7 points, respectively.

Furthermore, majority of the top programs in Urban Luzon belonged to GMA (17 out of 30) with multi-awarded news magazine program Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho leading all Kapuso shows in the top 30 list.

GMA’s top-rating weekend shows Magpakailanman, Celebrity Bluff and Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kuwento also made the list in Urban Luzon, as well as Kapuso drama Carmela, and the newly launched primetime series Kambal Sirena.

Completing the list were investigative public affairs program Imbestigador, Saturday night sitcom Vampire Ang Daddy Ko, the country’s longest running noontime show Eat Bulaga, telefantasya Adarna, GMA’s flagship newscast 24 Oras, GMA Telebabad’s Rhodora X, the longest running gag show on Philippine TVBubble Gang, widely followed Koreanovela A 100-Year Legacy, weekend game show Picture! Picture!, anime program Slam Dunk, and GMA’s flagship documentary program I-Witness.

GMA also kept its stronghold in Mega Manila with a 37 percent total day average, higher than ABS-CBN’s 29.1 percent by 7.9 points, and TV5’s 11.8 percent by 25.2 points.

Similarly, GMA’s lead over rivals ABS-CBN and TV5 in Mega Manila grew from 6.3 to 7.9 points and from 22.3 to 25.2 points, respectively, versus February.

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho also led all GMA shows in the list for Mega Manila, which was likewise dominated by the Kapuso Network scoring 18 out of the top 30 shows. Also in the top 10 were Celebrity Bluff, Magpakailanman, Kambal Sirena, Pepito Manaloto, Carmela, and Imbestigador.

Vampire Ang Daddy Ko, Rhodora X, Adarna, 24 Oras, Bubble Gang, Eat Bulaga, A 100-Year Legacy, Picture! Picture!, I-Witness, Slam Dunk, and Fairy Tail likewise drove GMA’s ratings in Mega Manila.

GMA was notably ahead of ABS-CBN and TV5 across all day parts in Urban Luzon and Mega Manila including the hotly contested primetime block.

Meanwhile, GMA dominated the morning block in National Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM) ratings by virtue of its 33.2 percent audience share, outscoring ABS-CBN’s 30.2 percent by 3 points. GMA was ahead of TV5 across all timeblocks in NUTAM.

GMA and TV5 subscribe to Nielsen TV Audience Measurement while ABS-CBN is the lone local major TV network that reportedly subscribes to Kantar Media, formerly known as TNS.

In Mega Manila, Nielsen TV Audience Measurement gathers data based on a sample size of 1,190 homes as compared to Kantar Media’s 770 homes. Meanwhile, Nielsen has a nationwide urban sample size of 2,000 homes, which is statistically higher than Kantar’s sample size of 1,370.

With the heartwarming support that Kambal Sirena is receiving, Louise, Mike, and Aljur share their appreciation and happiness. “I’m very thankful. Simula noong nag-umpisa kami ganoon pa rin sila, mainit pa rin ang pagtanggap nila sa Kambal Sirena. Lahat ng pagod at puyat namin talagang wort it lahat. Everyone shouldn’t really miss the upcoming episodes because aside from the original concept, Direk Dondon along with the production staff is really working hard on every detail of the soap, from the script up to the characters,” Louise said.

Also something to watch out for is the character of Mike as Jun. According to Mike, “Si Jun ay isang mangingisda at makakahuli kay Alona. Siya ang magsasabi kay Alona na may mga mababait ding mga tao tulad ni Jun na nakakaintindi sa kanya.” When asked about his experience on the set, Mike shares, “Well, it’s my first time to work with Louise at nakakagulat siyang katrabaho. Walang siyang ere at very professional. Enjoy sa set, ‘yung lokohan namin at walang pressure tapos kahapon nag-aral din ako ng basic diving.”

Meanwhile, Aljur just celebrated his 24th birthday last March 24. “Last March 1,6 I had a birthday mall show then I also had the chance to celebrate with the kids of World Vision last March 20. On the 24th, my family visited on the set of Kambal Sirena,” Aljur said. The Kapuso actor is also very vocal on talking about his character and the challenges they’re facing on taping Kambal Sirena, “Hindi po siya madali pero hindi kami tumitigil dahil exciting talaga, laging may bago. On my character as Kevin, abangan nila ang realizations ko with Macy [Wynwyn] at ang pagkakamabutihan nina Pearl at Kevin. Plus excited na din akong makatrabaho si Mike dahil siguradong may mga bagong matututunan ako sa kanya.”
