I recently came from a weeks vacation in my homeland, the Philippines. And what a wonderful vacation it was. I was able to spend time with my family, my parents, my sisters, my wife, my son, and my nieces. It’s nice to spend quality time with people close to your heart. It has been 2 years since I was able to return to the Philippines.
Me, and my wife arrived on a Friday afternoon. Our son went ahead of us, accompanied by his aunt, my sister in law. Then on Saturday, we (wife, son,
mom, sisters, nieces, mother in law, and sister in law) were on our way to Batangas. I initially thought that we were going to Aquatico, in San Juan, Batangas. But my mom told me that they were fully booked and wasn’t able to accommodate us. She told me that we were heading to Canyon Cove instead. I didn’t mind the change of venue, as it has been a long time, since I have visited any beach resorts in the Philippines. It was around 3-4 hours drive from Manila. Upon reaching
Canyon Cove Beach Resort, we immediately proceeded to check in. We were given 4 rooms, 2 person per room. The rooms were nice, with great amenities, and most of all, an awesome view of the beach in each room.
Canyon Cove has a restaurant, souvenir shop, game room, 3 swimming pools (kiddie pool, teens pool, and an adult pool), and of course the beach. There are also a lot of water recreational rides you can take, for a minimal fee. There’s
jet ski, banana boat, pedal boat, kayak, sunset cruise, and scuba diving. The water was clear, as you can see fishes dart by your feet, while walking in the water. We decided to stroll around the property, and see the amenities. Then we decided to call it a day, as it was raining.
The next day, the weather was great. Sunny blue skies, a good gust of wind, and crystal clear waters. We first had a buffet breakfast, which was mostly full of
Filipino fare. Then after breakfast, my son was eager to get into the pool, so I accompanied him. We were in the pool for a good 2 hours. Afterwards we decided to take a dip in the sea. While I was swimming, my son decided to make a sand fortress. Some of us decided to take the Banana Boat Ride, which was a great way to experience and view the sea and the surrounding beach resorts.
Late in the afternoon, we decided to head back to Manila. On the way, we decided to have lunch at Antonio’s Grill
